AIMA EBIKE, INC.

LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS

This limited warranty ("Warranty") is issued by AIMA EBIKE, Inc. of California ("AIMA"). It applies to purchases of the following products (“Products”) in the United States on or after July 1, 2023, and is provided free of charge. Your rights under this warranty are in addition to and independent of your legal rights as a purchaser of products, which may vary from state to state in the United States. This warranty does not affect these rights.

Before riding for the first time, read the manual that came with each product. The manual contains important safety, assembly, use, and maintenance information. AIMA also recommends that you register at www.aimatech.us when purchasing an AIMA product. While registration is not required to enjoy this warranty, this will enable AIMA to serve you better in the future.

As explained in more detail below, AIMA warrants the product against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with AIMA's published guidelines for a limited period of time from the date of original retail purchase. This guide includes, but is not limited to, information contained in technical specifications, user manuals and service communications. "Original retail purchase" means the first purchase of a new product from an AIMA authorized retailer or directly from AIMA. Portions of warranty coverage may be transferred to subsequent owners as detailed below.

Products covered

The following applies to the original retail purchaser of the product:
  • AIMA Branded Frames and Framesets: AIMA warrants to the original retail purchaser the structural integrity of the frame or frameset for a period of two (2) years* from the date of original retail purchase. Paint and graphics are excluded from this definition. Frameset means an AIMA branded frame with an AIMA branded rigid fork. Suspension forks and suspension components are not included in the definition of a frame or frameset.
  • *Register for Lifetime Warranty: If you register your e-bike with AIMA within ninety (90) days of original retail purchase, AIMA will guarantee the structural integrity of the frame or frameset to the original retail purchaser. Please visit www.aimatech.us to register.
  • AIMA branded components and equipment: two (2) year warranty from original retail purchase. For example, this includes components such as motors and other drive system components on e-bikes.
  • AIMA branded batteries equipped on e-bikes: Two (2) year warranty from original retail purchase date or up to 300 charge cycles, whichever comes first. The battery is designed to retain up to 75% of its original capacity during this time.
  • AIMA branded accessories and items not otherwise expressly covered: One (1) year warranty from date of original retail purchase.
The following applies to second or subsequent owners of the product:
  • Two (2) year warranty on the following AIMA branded products from the date of original retail purchase: Frames and framesets including components and equipment. This also includes parts such as motors and other drive system components on e-bikes.
  • AIMA branded batteries equipped on e-bikes: Two (2) year warranty from original retail purchase date or up to 300 charge cycles, whichever comes first. Batteries are designed to retain up to 75% of their original capacity during this time
  • AIMA branded accessories and items not otherwise expressly covered: One (1) year warranty from date of original retail purchase.

Third-party components on AIMA-branded bicycles

Third-party manufacturers may have applicable warranties on non-AIMA components, such as drivetrain, brake, or suspension components. For warranty information on third-party components, please visit the manufacturer's website for more information on those products. Third-party components are not covered by this warranty. Your AIMA authorized retailer will be able to provide you with further information.

Subsequent owner condition

The warranty period always runs from the date of original retail purchase and AIMA needs to be able to determine when and where the product was originally purchased. Proof of purchase should be obtained from the original owner or from the AIMA authorized retailer who sold the product.

Authorized Retailer Returns

If you encounter any issues like product failure, damage, or defects due to transportation, production, or design, simply refer to your local dealer's return policy for assistance.

Warranty Labor

For one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase, you will not be charged for labor costs incurred in handling the warranty process.

Terms of Warranty

To take advantage of this warranty, dated original retail proof of purchase must be presented to AIMA. Whether you are the original retail purchaser or a subsequent owner, the original proof of retail purchase is required. In any case, AIMA reserves the right to limit the warranty service to the country of purchase of the product. During the warranty period, AIMA will repair the product or, at AIMA's option, replace it with the same or most similar product available at the time. An exact replacement may not be available because we are constantly updating our product offering. If a product requires replacement, it will need to be returned to AIMA before a replacement product can be provided, unless otherwise agreed in writing by AIMA. You will not be charged for shipping the product to AIMA or receiving any replacement product during the warranty process.

Uncovered Cases

This warranty is void and does not apply to damage caused by any of the following:

  • Improper assembly or installation;
  • Collision, neglect, improper repair, improper maintenance or other abnormal, excessive or improper use;
  • Corrosion;
  • Improperly altering or installing components, parts or accessories that were not originally intended for or are incompatible with the product; or
  • Failure to perform maintenance or repairs at appropriate intervals in accordance with the written instructions accompanying the product

Wear and Tear

Wear and tear is the natural and unavoidable damage that occurs during normal riding. For example, even with proper maintenance, your cassette and chain will eventually wear out and need to be replaced. The same applies to scratches and other potential damage that normal use and exposure to the elements may cause to your bike's paint or graphics. Over time, your bike may make slight creaking or other noises while riding, which usually means it needs maintenance. Wear items are not covered by this warranty. The following is a non-exhaustive list of other typical wear and tear items not covered by this warranty:

  • Bearings
  • Exterior Plastic Parts
  • Brake Pads
  • Brake Cables
  • Standard Parts
  • Freewheel
  • Freehub
  • Chain
  • Chainring
  • Pedals
  • Saddle
  • Bottom Bracket
  • Cassette
  • Spokes
  • Tools

Shipping Damage Coverage

This warranty does not cover damage to the product during shipping. Notwithstanding such limitations, AIMA agrees to replace such damaged products if you:

If you choose to set up your own independent shipping method, for example using a freight forwarder or other similar service, AIMA will not be responsible for replacing any products damaged in that shipping method.

Disclaimer of implied warranties

THIS IS A FULL AND COMPLETE STATEMENT OF AIMA’S WARRANTY FOR THE PRODUCT. NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND BY ANYONE SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY REGARDING THE PRODUCT. AIMA’S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW BE NO GREATER THAN THE AMOUNT OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE AND IN NO EVENT SHALL AIMA BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES. THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT EXCLUDE LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY AIMA’S NEGLIGENCE.

TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, AIMA HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.
